In this car the veneer work had been extensive and complete, and some structural elements of the bodywork were reconstructed in solid Ash

Wood trim consists of many refined pieces coated  in walnut burl. The coachbuilders Mulliner and Young often built the entire woodwork  to suit their own cars, similar at the first look, but completely different from the “Standard -Steel saloon”, the traditional sedans.

often they used different “shades” of walnut burl and more contrasted cross-banding compared to standard sedans,  not to upset the customer expectations  It’s also possible to find other  details: some light solid wood bars bonded to the inner face  of picnic tables.

This excellent cabinet-making requires a patient retrieval of specific materials in order to be recovered correctly.
